New Jerusalem Tabernacle of Worship
Statement of Faith
We believe in God, and that He is the only God. He is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Christ: We believe that Christ is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. We believe He was incarnated in the flesh, born of the Virgin Mary, thus called Jesus.
Holy Spirit:  We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and is ever abiding, convicting, regenerating, and sanctifying believers. We believe being baptized with the Holy Spirit adds to a believer’s power (Mark 16: 16-18 & 1 John 5: 7). We believe the Holy Spirit is to guide us in all truth, to keep, and sanctify, for power. We believe that after one receives the Holy Spirit, he/she receives power (Acts 1: 8). We believe that speaking in tongues is evidence of the Holy Spirit, We also believe that love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance is evidence of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5: 21-22). We believe that everyone that receives the Holy Spirit may not initially speak in tongues, because one’s heart must be completely turned over to God before the Spirit gives utterance of tongues (1 Corinthians 12: 7- 11).
Origin of Sin:  We believe that sin is the determined death of mankind, a corruption that is inherited from the first man, Adam; by it we became separated from God. Scripture Reference: Genesis Chapter 3

Salvation of Mankind: We believe that the blood of Christ is the atonement for man for without it there is no life. Scripture Reference: Romans 5: 9- 12.

Repentance:  We believe that repentance is a thorough change of heart or mind by so doing man turns away from sin. For God will not reject a repenting heart. Scripture Reference: Psalm 51: 4 & Ezekiel 18: 31.
Baptism:  We believe that all Christians should be baptized in the name of the Father Son, and the Holy Spirit. Scripture Reference: Matthew 28: 19-20 & Acts 8: 35-38.
Marriage:  We believe Christians should marry only in the Lord. For marriage is of God. We believe marriage is a divine appointment between one man and one woman (2 Corinthians 6: 14). We do not believe in two people living together as husband and wife.
Divorce:  We do not uphold the putting away of one’s spouse except for reasons of fornication or adultery (Matthew 19: 9 & 1 Corinthians 5: 9). However, we do realize that there may be other circumstance that one may believe warrants divorce. If so, we believe that should be an issue that an individual should take before the throne of God in prayer and seek approval or forgiveness
The Use of Intoxicants:  We believe that one should remain from the use of intoxicants. We believe that one must be temperate or have self-control in all things.
Divine Healing:  We believe that the prayer of faith will heal the sick (James 5: 15). However, we do not fight against doctors and medicine because God gave us doctors for the purpose of healing.
